Hey-we're back! It's been a while since anything was posted on this site. I have
been busy petitioning my government in Washington, D.C. I have written numerous letters to every member of the Senate Judiciary
Committee, as well as other members of Congress, concerning the case that we lost. I will not be silent about what was
done to us. Yesterday I received my third letter from Utah Senator Orrin Hatch who "respectfully disagree[s]"
with my characterization of the Federalist Society as an "extremist" organization whose members are "arrogant
and elitist." However, I stand by this characterization and will point out that the Federalist Society, of which
Senator Hatch is a leading member, is very hostile to the interests of the working class. The Federalist Society
seeks nothing less than the judicial repeal of the "New Deal." Senator Hatch further states that he believes
that "ours is the most competent and independent judiciary in the world." He goes on to state that while he appreciates
my frustration at losing my case, he does "not believe that necessarily means all the judges involved were corrupt,
biased, or guilty of misconduct." He is correct. Not all of them were. One appeared to be senile. Senate
Bill 1638 - The Federal Judicial Restoration Act of 2007, was introduced by Senator Patrick Leahy and twenty Senate
co-sponsors in June of this year. (Senator Hatch is a co-sponsor.) This bill would raise the salary of federal judges
by fifty one percent. Our case demonstrated that the judiciary cares little about the rights of the working class yet
these judges have the audacity to demand a large salary increase at a time when many Americans are facing stagnant or declining
wages. They might be more sympathetic to average Americans if they shared the same economic fate. Unless the judiciary, from
Supreme Court Justices down to every district court judge, decides to show some integrity and police their own, citizens of
this country should loudly refuse to grant this salary increase. Call Senator Hatch and Senator Bennett (also a co-sponsor)
and tell them you oppose Senate Bill 1638. L.B.

Please check out our " Statement of Purpose " Site. If you find
that you agree in whole, or in part, then you should consider signing on. There will be no dues or financial obligation. The
only thing we would ask is that you be honest about your intentions. It is the goal of this web site to correct the deficiency
in proper union representation for bargaining unit employees of the Utah Transit Authority.
